About Forest Hills Presbyterian Learning Center
Since opening in 1993 as a nonprofit ministry of Forest Hills Presbyterian Church, our mission has remained the same—to serve and support families through Christ-centered care, education, and guidance. What began as a simple calling to help our community has grown into a trusted, faith-based early learning program serving families across Tampa and Hillsborough County.
At Forest Hills Presbyterian Learning Center, faith and learning grow hand in hand. We provide a nurturing environment that feels like home, where children are known, valued, and encouraged to thrive. Through meaningful relationships, joyful experiences, and purposeful learning, we help each child grow spiritually, emotionally, socially, and academically.
Purposeful Learning & Strong Foundations
As a quality-focused Tampa preschool, our classrooms use The Creative Curriculum® for Toddlers and Preschool to create hands-on learning experiences that prepare children for kindergarten and beyond. Daily activities build reading readiness, early math and science skills, language development, social-emotional growth, and self-help skills while also introducing music, technology, and an awareness of the world around them.
Bible stories, chapel, and Christ-centered values are woven into each day, helping children develop character, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning. Our VPK program continues this strong academic foundation in a structured, engaging environment designed for school readiness.
Programs That Support Every Stage
We offer a variety of programs to meet the needs of today’s families, including toddler care, preschool, VPK, and after school care for students attending Forest Hills Elementary. During school breaks and summer, our full-day programs provide exciting weekly themes and enriching activities that keep children learning, exploring, and having fun in a safe and familiar environment.
We proudly accept School Readiness through the Early Learning Coalition of Hillsborough County, helping make high-quality early education accessible to more families in our community.

As a participant in the Quality Performance System (QPS), we uphold high standards in early childhood education. Our goal is to provide a program where love, learning, and laughter go together—creating successful, joyful days that children carry with them as they grow.
A Safe, Joyful Place to Grow
The safety of every child is a top priority. Our campus features secure, coded entry points and monitored common areas and playgrounds for added peace of mind. Shaded by beautiful oak trees, our outdoor learning spaces include age-appropriate play structures designed to build coordination, confidence, and a love for active play.
